Citronella is an essential oil obtained from the leaves and stems of different species of lemongrass using steam distillation. The oil is used extensively as a source of perfumery chemicals such as citronella soap, candles, incense, perfumery, cosmetic, and flavoring industries throughout the world. Citronella oil is also a plant-based insect repellent and has been registered for this use in the United States since 1948 and has strong antifungal properties.
The oil is concentrated and not to be used on sensitive skin. For external use only, intended for for diffusers, baths, massage, perfume, topical, home and cleaning. Avoid use during pregnancy.
